SUPREME COURT SELLS OUT NATION

I wouldn't resort to demagoguery if not for the odd political juxtaposition of  seemingly unrelated events.  Target Corp. firing a worker who had the temeritiy to mention the OWS movement and the Supreme Courts assertion that corporations are entitled to first amendment protections.  While those living breathing taxpayers who labor for those corporations have no protection.
In reality Capital, or Mammon as I like to call it is the 1%.  Ancient and corrupt the wealth of accumulation  grinds its way through generations on the path to greater returns and further consolidation.

EQUAL PROTECTION CLAUSE

O.K. Clue me in here, when did banks acquire more rights and protection than citizens?  When did our country go up for sale? And why weren't we notified?  Is the unlimited de facto immigration policy just a way of diluting citizenship to the point that financial clout supersedes the rights of a democratic system?  When did the Republican Party lose its mind?  It is a Party that no longer chases votes, votes are obsolete, cash is the new plurality.  I am afraid the Dems. are pursuing a similar policy they are just frightening and fleecing a different base. I think John McCain's handlers are to blame, the choice of SP as VP left it all too clear that the inmates are running the asylum.  I am not going fishing that's too Palinesque.

Senator Ensign

I love this story, it really is "Elmer Gantry visits Vegas".  The old badger game, the wronged husband cashing checks, the pious Republican passing moral judgements as he fornicates his way through life.  I really look forward to each installment and I think the Pulitzer prize winning Las Vegas Sun is the new Times, except the Sun is not yet financially and journalistically bankrupt.  I'm going fishing... and maybe play some craps....

OBAMA SKORGE OF EDJUKASHUN

O.K. the same morons that protested Bush the Elder addressing schools, are the same morons protesting the morons that are protesting Obama addressing schoolchildren. There is room for deference and respect for the Office of the President of the United States. Unfortunately the morons on both sides cannot overcome their partisan impairments long enough to enter into a meaningful or constructive dialogue. I have decided that hypocrisy is the lifeblood of politics. We are a nation of rubes and I for one am going fishing.....

THE BEST MONEY CAN BUY????

Lately I've been reading about financial contributions to politicians.  The public disclosure laws really show how sure these 'leaders' are of themselves.  The contributions to Al Franken's legal defense fund showed 2 donors from the state he represents, the remainder  being mainly from Cali. and NY.  One can only wonder.  Why is there more turnover in the Politboro, than in Congress?  Surely the word gerrymandering has been translated into Russian.   I long vaguely for the days of self imposed term limits wherein  citizen legislators served their country and returned to their home states and proceeded with normal life.  Now public service is merely a cynical career move, and leaving public service is a step into influence peddling and old boy network cronyism. I'm going fishing....

INTOLERANCE

If you tell me that Karl Rove is unique to the Republican Party, you have told me one of three things.  1.You are a naive imbecile.  2. You are a true believer and a naive imbecile.  3. You are a liar and a true believer and a naive imbecile.  Part of the problem with political dialogue is that there is no dialogue.  The new liberal outcry about 'right wing town meeting tactics' is only a sad reflection of the politically correct shout downs and disruptions of the past.  If you are sure that Maddow likes the sound of her own voice less than Limbaugh and that one gasbag is superior to another. You are one of three things... I'm going fishing.......
